Note: – Although it was crime against society as offence was committed under Section 307 of IPC but in the reference of the case of State of Madhya Pradesh v. Laxmi Narayan and others (AIR 2019 SC 1296) in which Supreme Court had issued guidelines regarding quashing of Criminal Proceedings on the ground of compromise between the parties.
Gujarat HC Quashes FIR Against The Wife (Who Allegedly Poisoned Daughters) Filed By Husband.
The Gujarat High Court quashed a FIR, against wife for allegedly poisoning two daughters and attempting to suicide which was filed by her husband. The lady filed a criminal application to quash the FIR based on which bench of Justice A.P. Thaker passed the order after the husband and the wife reached an amicable settlement.
