Karnataka HC: Illegal Structures can’t Be Protected Under Right To Religion

A division bench of Karnataka High Court comprising of Chief Justice Abhay S Oka and Justice M Nagaprasanna held that Right To Religion under Article 25 can’t be invoked to protect illegal structures and observed that right to construct unauthorized temple can’t be claimed to be essential religious practice that can be protected under Article 25 of the Constitution.
