Madras HC: Patanjali Can’t Use Trademark ‘Coronil’

On the plea of Chennai based company Arudra Engineering Private Limited which claimed that trademark ‘Coronil’ is owned by it since 1993 and right over trademark is valid till 2027 and the company also said that identical trademarks would amount to infringement of our intellectual property right and it will also affect reputation and goodwill of the company. Based on this plea Justice C.V.Karthikeyan passed the interim order valid till 30 July to restrain Patanjali from using trademark ‘Coronil’.
