Pamblam Rail Bridge is India’s first vertical lift railway sea bridge. The development work for erecting the railway sea bridge started on 8th November 2019 and at present the work is going on the soil of Tamil Nude’s Ramanathapuram district. The project is carried out by Indian Railways connecting the Mandapam with the Rameswaram at the Pamban Island through 2.05 km long railway bridge. The successful completion of this project will attract other project of similar magnitude of challenges.
