The plea has been filed by Sr. Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi for the revival of landmark D K Basu case for issuing directions in case of custodial death and torture. He also sought for a direction to states and union territories to ensure that all the vacancies of Human Rights Courts and Human Rights Commission are filled promptly and here should be time bound investigation in all the cases of custodial deaths and encounter killings.
